Kayla Lundstedt (she/her)

Certified Doula, NRP Certified, Certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher

Originally from East of Colorado Springs, Kayla started her journey as a birth worker about three years ago when she became pregnant with her first. She became infinitely curious in the pregnant and birthing body and mind and began immersing herself in research, scientific journals, documentaries, and books of all kinds related to pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Her journey through a difficult labor culminated in treatment for postpartum anxiety and OCD which, along with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, sparked her passion for helping others find resources for and overcoming perinatal mental health concerns. It was both the places where she felt her experience was the most lacking, but also the best parts of her labor and birth experience that inspired her to pursue becoming a doula. She doesn’t want the lacking parts to happen to others, but also wants the parts where she felt most supported and empowered to be experienced by all.

To add to her doula bag of tricks and with a love for movement and yoga, she became a certified prenatal yoga teacher. She believes that sometimes with a little guidance to get started, in both yoga and labor, the body and baby usually inherently and intuitively know where to go and how to move to work together in beautiful harmony. Also, if one or the other needs a little more assistance, she believes that clients should have the confidence to know they’re going to be truly supported and loved no matter which path labor decides to take.

She is passionate about helping families and birthing persons have an intuitive, empowering and supported experience and helping them to become educated about all aspects of labor, birth, feeding, and postpartum. She believes that community and utilizing resources available are the best ways of nurturing families.
