Rainbow Baby Support Group

Who it's for: Birthing people who have previously experienced pregnancy loss.

Description of group: In this 6-week series we'll explore the duality (and complexity) of grief and joy in parenthood after loss. Connect with other parents on the challenges, miracles, and wonders of parenting. ALL parts of you are welcome. We'll cherish the beautiful parts, laugh about the silly ones, and give you space to be witnessed when the hard times arise. Rainbow babies under age one are welcome to attend on laps or in our circle.

The approach: Each session will consist of a somatic (body-based) practice to invite connection and then we'll open the space to the weekly theme and for sharing.

Length of session: 90 minutes

Time: Mondays @ 10am

Location: Peaceful Birthing Company- 1419 Riverside Ave Apartment C, Fort Collins, CO 80524

Dates: October 14th, 21st, November 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th

Sign up: https://theuncensoredempath.as.me/rainbowbaby

My short bio: Sarah St. John is a somatic coach and yoga teacher. She's been teaching and mentoring using body-based healing since 2010. Sarah specializes in working with mothers who have experienced grief, trauma, & loss. Her work is inspired by her two brothers who she lost to suicide and addiction, as well as her multiple miscarraiges. She is a mom of two little girls (one of which is her rainbow baby) and believes deeply in the power of the nervous system to heal after loss. She is trained in yoga, breathwork, meditation, somatics, hypnosis, EFT, and NLP.

Macrame Toy Making Workshop

Tickets: https://bit.ly/FocoMacrameAug
Description:

One of the things I was the most worried about when becoming a parent was losing the time and energy to be creative. But I quickly learned that this shift in lifestyle and identity didn’t actually mean I would lose things—I just had to shape them to fit my new self. Fiber arts (crochet, macrame, etc.) is my specialty, and the creative juices have always been fueled by making things for those I love. Cue: macrame baby toys! These toys are easy and fun to make, come together quickly (read: during nap time), and are a unique way to share my creativity and love with my baby. It has been such a distinct pleasure to learn this, and I hope to offer the space for you to find this within yourself as well.

This workshop is open to all skill levels, and all materials will be provided—just bring yourself, your baby (if you want), and be in community with others as we tap into our creative sides to make something beautiful for one we love. Don't have a baby of your own? Don't worry--anyone interested is welcome to join the fun!

You’ll get to take home:

-        your handmade toy

-        instructions for how you made it

-        leftover materials to keep creating!

Saturday, August 17th from 11:30am-1pm

Peaceful Birth Company - 1419 Riverside Ave Apartment C, Fort Collins, CO 80524

$20 secures your spot – space is limited!

After she discovered she was pregnant with her first baby girl in 2023 she pursued certifications for Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga.
